How We Help - FAQs

Why should we hire an external HRIS consultant?

An independent consultant offers unbiased, client-focused guidance tailored to your organization—not a vendor’s agenda. We’re vendor agnostic and provide honest insights into the strengths and limitations of systems like UKG Pro, ADP Workforce Now, and others, based on real-world experience—not sales pitches.

We’ve worked with organizations of all sizes, across industries, and at every stage of system adoption. Our guidance is shaped by what we’ve seen firsthand: how implementation choices impact long-term results, how features perform once rolled out to managers and employees, and how to troubleshoot issues and extract meaningful data post-launch.

We understand that your internal teams are already managing full workloads. That’s where we come in—taking on the additional project load so your HR, IT, and payroll teams can stay focused on day-to-day operations. You get the benefit of a seasoned partner who’s fully invested in your success and ready to support you wherever you need it most.

We don’t follow a one-size-fits-all blueprint. Instead, we bring practical knowledge, proven best practices, and flexible thinking to help you avoid missteps, streamline the process, and make smart, sustainable decisions from day one.

What HRIS platforms do you support?

We specialize in UKG Pro and ADP Workforce Now, but we also have experience with a wide range of HR and benefits-related platforms. We support clients using single or multiple systems, and we’re well-equipped to help organizations transition between platforms as their needs evolve.

Our goal is to meet you where you are—whether you're implementing, optimizing, or integrating—and provide the expertise to make your systems work seamlessly for your team.

What types of HRIS consulting services do you provide?

We offer flexible, hands-on support tailored to your organization’s unique needs—whether you need full project leadership or targeted help filling in key gaps. Our services include:

  • HRIS system selection – Guidance on evaluating and choosing the right platform

  • Implementation support – Configuration, data conversion, and the critical tasks vendors often expect clients to handle on their own

  • Implementation project management – Cross-functional collaboration, process mapping, and best practice guidance

  • System optimization – Enhancing configuration, workflows, and overall user experience

  • Training – For system administrators, managers, and end users

  • Ongoing technical support – Post-go-live troubleshooting and system maintenance

  • Open enrollment preparation – System setup, testing, and employee communication planning

  • Custom reporting & data integrations – Building, refining, and streamlining data reporting and system connections

  • Process improvements – Aligning system setup with current operations and future goals

  • Module rollouts – Support for launching new functionality like performance, learning, or timekeeping

Whether you’re implementing a new system, optimizing an existing one, or just need an experienced partner to take something off your team’s plate, we adapt to your goals and deliver results.

What size organizations do you work with?

We primarily work with small to mid-sized organizations ranging from 50 to 2,000 employees, across a variety of industries. But for us, it’s not just about size—it’s about your unique goals, processes, and expectations for your system.

Whether you have a lean HR team or a more layered department, we tailor our support to match your structure and what you want your system to achieve. Every organization deserves a solution that fits, and we’re here to help make that happen.

Do you offer support after the initial project?

Yes. We provide as-needed support for rolling out new features, annual events like open enrollment, troubleshooting issues, optimizing workflows, and training new team members.

Can you help us select the right HR system?

Yes. With experience across many platforms, we help evaluate your needs, vet vendors, coordinate demos, and provide unbiased guidance to help you choose a system that aligns with your goals and resources.

What sets your consulting approach apart?

With over 20 years of experience in HRIS and HR/Benefits technology, I bring a uniquely well-rounded perspective to every project. I’ve sat in every seat—implementation specialist, internal HR tech lead, third-party consultant, and even part of the sales and selection process. That means I understand the full lifecycle of an HR system, from vendor pitch to long-term support.

I know how vendors highlight the good and gloss over the gaps, how implementation choices impact long-term success, and how to configure systems with scalability and real-world usability in mind. I’ve lived through system changes myself—navigating the rollout to employees and managers, answering their questions, and adjusting processes on the fly. I’ve also supported clients long after go-live, so I’ve seen what works—and what causes headaches down the road.

This broad perspective allows me to offer grounded, practical guidance that’s rooted in experience—not theory. I help clients make smart decisions early, avoid common pitfalls, and get long-term value from their investment.

What are your billing options?

We offer flexible billing arrangements to fit your project and preferences. Options include:

  • Upfront retainer or block of hours – Ideal for clients who want predictable access to support over time

  • Monthly invoicing – Pay only for hours worked each month, as we go

  • Flat project fee – Best for well-defined scopes with clear start and end points

We’ll work with you to find a structure that aligns with your needs, budget, and workflow.
